侯一民,1930年出生于河北省高阳县，蒙古族，著名画家、雕塑家、美术教育家。中央美术学院教授。曾任中央美院油画系副主任、壁画系主任、第一副院长等职。中国壁画学会会长、中国美术家协会常务理事、全国壁画艺术委员会主任、吴作人国际美术基金会理事长。国家级有突出贡献专家。擅长油画、壁画、中国画、陶艺、雕塑及考古鉴定。是新中国第一代美术家、美术教育家，长期从事美术教育工作，富於开拓精神，是新壁画运动的开拓者之一。在艺术创作上涉猎广泛，追求中西艺术的融合，作品具有现实主义的宏大气势。是第三、四套人民币的设计者之一。代表作品：油画有《青年地下工作者》、《刘少奇与安源矿工》、《六亿神州尽舜尧》、《清水江畔》、《跨过鸭绿江》。壁画有《百花齐放》（陶板高温釉）、《五千年文化》（陶浮雕）、《丝绸之路》、《血肉长城》。侯一民于2023年1月1日18时49分在昌平泰康燕园逝世，享年92岁。

   Hou Yimin, born in Gaoyang County, Hebei Province in 1930, is a Mongolian and famous painter, sculptor, and art educator. Professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Formerly served as Deputy Director of the Oil Painting Department, Director of the Mural Painting Department, and First Vice President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. President of the China Mural Society, Executive Director of the China Artists Association, Director of the National Mural Art Committee, and Chairman of the Wu Zuoren International Art Foundation. Experts with outstanding contributions at the national level. Proficient in oil painting, mural painting, Chinese painting, pottery, sculpture, and archaeological identification. He was the first generation of artists and art educators in New China, engaged in art education for a long time, rich in pioneering spirit, and one of the pioneers of the New Mural Movement. Widely involved in artistic creation, pursuing the integration of Chinese and Western art, and creating works with a grand and realistic atmosphere. He is one of the designers of the third and fourth sets of Chinese yuan. Representative works: Oil paintings include "Young Underground Workers", "Liu Shaoqi and Anyuan Miners", "600 Million Shenzhou Ends with Shun Yao", "Beside the Clear Water River", and "Crossing the Yalu River". The murals include "Hundred Flowers Bloom" (high-temperature glazed pottery), "Five Thousand Years of Culture" (pottery reliefs), "Silk Road", and "Great Wall of Flesh and Blood". Hou Yimin passed away on January 1, 2023 at 18:49 in Taikang Yanyuan, Changping, at the age of 92.
